Knowledge and experience

True North Kayak Tours has been operating on the shore of Vermont's Lake Champlain for the past 10 years, its experienced guides live locally and are familiar with the Lake's rich historical and natural history. True North guides are certified in wilderness first aid, CPR, water safety, and by the ACA and British Canoe Union. Guides are continually learning new skills, and continuing their training to insure a safe, fun, and challenging kayak trip.

Family operated

True North Kayak Tours is owned and operated by Jane and Dovid Yagoda, an effective mother/son team that have been paddling as guides for over 12 years each. Both Jane and Dovid have kayak experience on the open ocean in areas including the Baja peninsula, Block Island Sound, and the Puget Sound. Most recently Jane and Dovid have been exploring Lake Champlain. Their quests for truly unique, and special, kayak spots on the lake have allowed them to lead tours to areas on the lake that never ceases to astound their customers.

Fun and adventure await

This year True North is leading a wide variety of kayak trips including a six day adventure camp, several luxurious inn to inn tours, peddle and paddle trips, as well as adult camping trips, and BCU instructional programs. Come and learn new skills, confidence, and how to play like a kid again.
